Review: The Exposure by Tara Sue Me

I have enjoyed Tara Sue Me's Submissive Series for the most part, and The Exposure was a solid addition. This one features Megan and Luke who after a brief and intense meeting in the past have parted ways. When they team up for a new project sparks between them fly. However, Megan is hiding a big secret and Luke feels betrayed when he finds out. The couple needs to decide if they can get over the past and work towards a future.

Although they ultimately solve their problems and have their happily ever after their story feels forced and a little rushed. So many stories have this same plot, a big secret and betrayal and then forgiveness. Tara Sue Me's specialty is her spicy love scenes and this one is no exception. I personally like having a little bit more of a story to go along with the sex. I did get to catch up with other characters in the series and that was good. Overall, a solid read and I look forward to the next book.

Review - Vinegar Girl by Anne Tyler

Vinegar Girl is loosely based oh Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew . I enjoyed the book. It was a quick, solid read overall but the writing fell a little flat for me. I think that might be the author more than the story. The story focuses on Dr. Battista and his two daughters Kate and Bunny. Dr. Battista is about to lose his research assistant to importation and hatches a plan for him to marry his daughter Kate. Kate has been feeling stuck in her job teaching preschool and her line living at home and wonders if going along with the plan will move her life forward or keep her firmly in the same old life. Will she agree to the plan or will she discover how to move forward with her own plans. The whole book I kept wondering if the characters were going to become more alive or interesting. The ending also seemed very impractical. Anyone who loves Anne Tyler's books will enjoy this one...it just fell a little short for me. Rated 3/5 starts on Goodrea...

I have not been posting a lot! The back to school season has been rough with updating schedules, sporting and school events, working full time and adding a dog to our family! Review - Sunset in Central Park by Sarah Morgan

Sarah Morgan is still a relatively new author for me, but I loved the first book in this series (Sleepless in Manhattan) so much I had to give book two a try. Sunset in Central Park didn’t disappoint. It was fun to catch up with the trio and really get to know two characters more personally. Frankie is such a fun character, while being real and honest at the same time. Frankie doesn’t trust relationships or men, and that is totally understandable given her background. She is comfortable with her friend Matt, at least until he starts to look at her in a different way. Suddenly she starts to see him in a new way and quite frankly that terrifies her. Matt has been patient with Frankie for a long time, but he is tired of waiting for her and decides to do something more proactive.
