Sweet as Honey Review

Jennifer Beckstrand does it again...I fell in love with her and her Huckleberry Hill series and have been looking forward to this series. Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced readers copy!

The story of Lily, her sisters and their aunt is delightful and sweet. Lily feels obligated and devoted to her boyfriend of many years, but starts to doubt their relationship with him when Daniel returns to town. Daniel is kind and funny, but Lily remembers him as the boy who was unkind to her growing up. Ultimately Lily needs to learn how to trust and love herself, and only then can she know who she can trust her heart with.

I loved the story, it was a good easy read. My only frustration was how how it took Lily to see how badly she was being treated and to learn how to trust herself,

Review: On Second Thought by Kristan Higgins

Thanks NetGalley for the Advanced Reading Copy of this one! I read it back in January, but am a little behind on my blogging. Spring has been busy this year! This book made me feel all the feels! It features two sisters Ainsley and Kate, and although it's a romance it could also be called women's fiction because it heavily features the relationship between the two sisters who have never been close. However, some pretty big life events bring the two sisters together, closer than ever. Kate, who found her husband later in life, tragically loses him at the beginning of the book. Readers follow her story of getting over the loss of her whirlwind romance and marriage, and then navigate a surprise that she never saw coming. Watching Kate rebuild her life was addicting, and I had trouble putting the book down. Ainsley's romance is completely the opposite of whirlwind. Review - From the Sidelines by Amy Avanzion

One of my favorite things in the whole world is discovering a new author! Amy Avanzino is my new author this week, I loved From the Sidelines ! One of the things I loved most about this book is how I could relate to many parts of the story even though the main character Autumn is completely different than me (I however am a mother to three boys, all who played football!). I always admire writers than can make me feel that personal connection to a character or a story. Autumn is an overprotective, single mom to a 10 year old boy who one day decides he wants to play football. Autumn knows nothing about sports and is not sure that this is a good idea at all. She has never thought that he was a sports type at all. However, since the end of her disastrous marriage Zachary hasn't been very happy and she wants to change that. I have not been posting a lot! The back to school season has been rough with updating schedules, sporting and school events, working full time and adding a dog to our family! I have been reading and listening to books though! Here are a few I loved the last few weeks! Sweet Little Lies by Jill Shalvis: I finally got around to reading the first in the new Heartbreaker Bay series! I read and reviewed the second one recently. Click HERE for that post!
